Centennial Commemorative Book

In honor of the Parish's 100th anniversary celebration we have produced a commemorative book highlighting our past, present and future.


This keepsake book is a tribute to what makes GSBH special: its' history, ministries and our parish family.  Books are available for $20 each at the Parish Office during regular business hours or call or email info@gsbh.org for information on shipping.

12/12/23 ~ 100 Years!

Founded on December 12, 1923, our 100th celebration coincided with the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe and was celebrated with a Mariachi Mass. 

Centennial Mass

Our Centennial Mass was celebrated Sunday, August 13, 2023. What a memorable and historic Mass to kick-off our Centennial year! Presiding Celebrant: Most Reverend José H. Gomez, Archbishop of Los Angeles Concelebrants:  Fr. Ed Benioff - Pastor, Fr. Colm O’Ryan - Pastor Emeritus, Msgr. Thomas Welbers - Retired Pastor, Fr. Thomas Cahill, Msgr. Terrance Flemming, Fr. John Paul Gonzales, Fr. Vincent Lopez, Msgr. Peter O’Reilly, Fr. John Palmer, Msgr. Norman Priebe, and Fr. Vaughn Winters

The Beverly Hills City Council unanimously voted to designate the Church of the Good Shepherd as a landmark listed in the Beverly Hills Register of Historic Properties at its regular council meeting October 3, 2023.
