(Updated: June 25, 2020)

GS SCHOOL UPDATE CLICK HERE

The reopening of the churches of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles will take place in steps. Each parish will have their own timetable. If a parish is not ready for a particular step, we are advised to remain at our current status while working to be ready.

Guidelines have been prepared in consultation with the Auxiliary Bishops, Council of Priests, lay advisors, and approved by the Archbishop. They are based on, but do not replace, guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, California Department of Public Health, County Departments of Health and local authorities for our city of Beverly Hills.

Starting on July 4th, our nation’s Independence Day,
we will re-open our Church for public Masses!

For your safety, we will enlist the guidelines given to us by the Los Angeles County Office of Public Health.  Unfortunately, this means we can only have 88 people in the Church at this time.  That is why I hope you also stay connected to us through our video Masses and daily reflections

For those of you who can attend a public Mass at Good Shepherd, this is what you need to know as we keep your health and safety our 1st priority:

  • Masses will start on time!  Vigil Mass - Saturday, July 4th 5:30pm, Sunday, July 5th Mass times - 8:30am, 10:30am, 12:30pm and 5:30pm. Parishioners will be asked to line-up 30 minutes before Mass by the door on Bedford Drive. Once Mass begins the doors will be closed and no one will be allowed to enter.
  • Seating will be first come, first serve!  Our capacity for Mass is 88 people.
  • Everyone who enters must have a face covering.  If you don’t have one, one will be given to you.
  • Everyone must sanitize their hands at the door.
  • Everyone will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms before they enter the Church and will have their temperature checked. If anyone has a temperature of 100.4 or higher, he/she will not be allowed to enter the Church.
  • Each person will be asked the following questions: Do you have a sore throat? Are you coughing or sneezing? Do you have body aches? Do you have shortness of breath? Have you been caring for or been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed or shown symptoms of COVID-19?

Anyone who answers YES to any one of these questions will not be allowed in the Church.

  • Confession: We will have confessions available Saturdays 3:30pm-4:30pm and Wednesday 7:00pm-8:00pm. Confessions will take place outside by the Mary Garden behind the Church.
  • Volunteer: If you can volunteer to help with these protocols for a daily Mass at noon please call the parish office Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm at (310) 285-5425.  We will not be able to have daily Masses without your help.
